The Linear way of communication is a one way
process.
An example of the Linear Model of
communication is by Shanon and Weaver.
This model suggests that communication is simply
the transmission of a message from one person to
another.
The second model of interaction is the Interactive model of
communication.
An interactive model is an improved process. It still begins with a
sender, in which a speaker encodes a message using different
channels. The receiver listens as he or she decodes the message.
Feedback is the next stage of the process, where the receiver sends
a response to the sender that continues the communication style.
An example of the Interactive Model of communication is by Schramm model of
communication.
Transactional Model of Communication
In this model, there is a simultaneous flow of
communication between the sender and receiver of
information. There is an overlap in the encoding and
decoding of information. While the sender is completing a
sentence the receiver is already thinking of what to say
next.
