    Power is the ability to influence or control the behavior of individuals or groups. There are three natures of power: power over others through domination, power to achieve goals and accomplish tasks through one's own abilities and resources, and power with others through cooperation. Political theorist Steven Lukes identified three dimensions of power: decision-making power to influence policies, non-decision-making power to control agendas and prevent issues from being addressed, and thought control power to shape the preferences of others.
