In reading a text, you should be constantly
noting the important details. These details could be a brief record of something, a statement, a quote, a definition or a phrase that are written down in order to be remembered. Noting details is vital to reading comprehension. Details are divided into two forms:
1. Explicit details – These are the
specific details. The details that are seen and measurable. They are stated clearly. These details often answer the questions who, what, where, when and how. Details are divided into two forms:

describe or to define a general state. These are the details that are implied but not plainly expressed. They are not stated directly, but the reader understands because of the clues in the text.
