Going to study abroad is the option that suits me most .

Firstly, I am able to improve my language skills since I

interact with native speakers everyday.
Secondly, if I have an international bachelor’s degree,
I’ll get more opportunities to work in big companies
which ensure my salary and benefit packages.

I don’t choose finding a job immediately after

graduating from high school because I can’t find any
well-paid jobs. Going to university isn’t an appropriate
choice as I’ll get limited practical experiences.
Because of above reasons, I suppose that going to study
abroad would be the best choice

Lesson 4
WRITING
TASK 1: Write a letter
You should spend about 20 minutes on this task.

Writing a letter for your friend about: a new

house in another town where you and your family
moved to last month: what new in that house;
neighbors; the area.

You should write at least 120 words. You do not

need to include your name or addresses. Your
response will be evaluated in terms of Task
Fulfillment, Organization, Vocabulary and
Grammar.
Dear Kate,
We finally moved house last month and now life
has changed. The two-storey house that we are
living in is situated in the suburb of Danang city,
within twenty minutes’ drive off the central city.
It consists of two bedrooms, a living-room, a
bathroom, a dinning-room, a kitchen and a
toilet. The living-room, which is rather large, is
decorated with beautiful pictures on the walls.
There, on Sundays and holidays my father
usually spends his time playing chess or drinking
tea with our new neighbors. All of them are very
friendly; they have helped my family so much
since we moved here. There is a park near my
house. I often go jogging and enjoy fresh air in
the morning there.
What about your house? Please write and let me
know.
Best wishes,

Travel
Technology
How often do you travel?

I travel twice a year in summer

holiday with my friends/ family. I
visited a lot of places such as Nha
Trang, Da Lat and Vung Tau. I often
travel by car or bus.
Do you prefer travelling in your country
or travelling abroad? Why?

I prefer travelling in my country

because it’s affordable for a
university student like me. Besides, I
can learn more about my country’s
history and heritage
If you could choose any place to travel
to, where would it be? Why?

I love travelling to China where there

are a lot of historical destinations. I
want to visit Great Wall and
Forbidden City. I’d like to enjoy
some Chinese traditional food.
Do you use computer a lot?
What for?

I usually use computer for my study and

entertainment a lot. I surf the Internet
for searching information or doing my
assignments. I also use it to update news
and do some leisure activities, such as
watch films and listen to music.
Do you think computers make us
lazy?

Yes. Computer is more and more

popular in our lives because it is a
useful tool for many purposes like
studying, working, or entertaining.
People depend on it too much and
spend less time for outdoor activities.
Solution discussion

You want to spend some time with your

family this weekend. Which among the
following activities would you choose:
watching TV, making dinner, or going
camping?
In my opinion, making dinner is the
most suitable option because of
following reasons:

Firstly, it’s very cheap and makes us

comfortable when cooking together.
Secondly, all family members have a
chance to talk and connect to each
other.
There are several reasons why I don’t
choose other options. Watching TV is
so boring and going camping may
make us exhausted.

In conclusion, making dinner is the

ultimate choice due to its benefits.
