Narrative Report on Water

S.Y 2022-2023
Water is one among most important element in order to

live. Clean water is vital to our health. We need clean water to
have healthy people living in a community and in school.
To have clean water in the school significantly reduces

hygiene-related diseases and water-borne diseases among
learners. It increases school attendance of learners coming to
school.
Safe drinking water is provided for free in the school at

all times. The quality of is very important. We are a
concessionaire of Prime Water Metro San Fernando in which we
use this water and is filtered in through the water station safe for
drinking.

We have two water station with filtration as a
source of drinking water for our learners. And
soon, our water refilling station will be in used.

Water refilling station was donated by the
Rotary Club for all our learners, in lieu of free
water to all learners in the school.

Every learner’s bring their own tumbler or bottle for
their personal drinking needs. We also use water from
tested water refilling stations as potable water.

S.Y 2022-2023
WASH in Schools is a pathway to healthier schools and healthier better

performing children. For these reasons, Paringao Elementary School is
continuously effectively implementing the DepEd Wash in Schools to
improve the well-being of learners and the health of the broader
community.
As the classroom can be considered as the second home of

children, the role of teachers is not only as educators but also as their
second parents is imperative in building a good hygiene of their
learners. All the teachers diligently discussed the importance of proper
hand washing with soap and also proper tooth brushing to their
respective classes. They encouraged the learners to do the daily routine
or activities properly to ensure habitual cleaning of oneself. In the
vicinity of the school, information's regarding proper washing of hands
and toothbrushing are posted in the washing areas.
In connection to this the school received materials such as

hygiene kits, toothpaste and toothbrushes, and others from different
sources of funds including the School MOOE, from Private or Individual
donations, PTA, LGU Funds, and Voluntary donations.
Paringao Elementary School headed by our School Head Mrs.

Perlita N. Evangelista, teachers, together with the SELG, BKD and Yes-
O Officers, PTA Officers, very supportive external partners and
stakeholders work in hand in encouraging and promoting the
appropriate and proper hygiene of students to maintain and secure
clean and healthy environment for sustainable learning.
