On October 15th, we paid a visit to Kathe Pada village in Palghar which


consisted of 60 residential households and just two retail stores. During our
visit, the store owners shared their valuable insights. They talked about what
products are popular among customers, where they get their stock, which
items the kids love, their daily and monthly sales, and the daily customer foot
traffic. They also provided us with some personal information, such as their
household incomes, sources of employment, the state of education in the
village, and the challenges they face."
Retail Audit:
We conducted a visit to Kathe Pada village in Palghar on 15 th October. It consists of 60 residential households
and only two Retail stores.

This Store has been around for 4-5 years. It is relatively new, having started the business
just 1 year ago.

• The stock which is not sold is bought back by the company and they are supplied with other products in place of them
• No discount on bulk orders from wholesalers.
• Best Selling products are Marigold(Rs. 10), Balaji Wafers, Chocolate, Cake
• Customers purchased products in small quantities for Rs. 10, 20 instead of buying the whole packet. Eg: salt, sugar, oil
