Introduction

• When to use:
When moving a machine and not loosing the
height reference

• Examples:
 Machines with Dig Assist Start or 2D

 No GNSS or Correction stream available

 Working inside of buildings

Operation

• By moving the machine, the reference


height get lost
• Use touch point function to transfer the
machine position to the new machine
location

1. Move the active bucket tooth to a


point which can be reached from the
new position as well

2. Press touch point button

3. Drive with the machine to the new


position and move the bucket tooth
to the point again

4. Press touch point button again

• The machine has now recognized, that


the first touch point is on

• The laser can be set up with random


height

• The laser level must be in parallel with


the target level

• The following steps 1-5 can be skipped


when a laser was used to create the task

• By moving the machine, the reference


height get lost
• Use the laser to catch the reference
again

1. Press laser catcher button

2. Move the arm up and down to catch


the Laser

3. The laser symbol will turn yellow


when catching the laser

4. Do not further move the attachment


and the laser symbol will turn green

5. Tap ”Connect” to use the current


laser level as reference

• A message appears in the middle of the


screen

• Now its possible to move the machine

• When new position is reached, proceed


with step 6:

6. Press the laser catcher button again

7. Proceed according to instructions on


screen (same as step1-4) until laser
symbol turns green.

8. When the symbol turns green, press


“Transfer” to take the new height as
reference

• The normal screen will appear again

• In the middle is shown: “Transfer


complete”

• Now its possible to continue with


working as before

Summary
• Necessary when no GNSS is available

• Possible to move the machine without loosing height reference
