The TORR Technology
Cutting Edge Technology
in Produced Water Treatment

3
Self-contained, Self-cleaning, Simple & Cost
Efficient Technology

Design Features:

• Removes non soluble oil emulsions 2 m.

• Oil discharge concentrations well below 5ppm*
(free oil & emulsified oil).
• One single pass will reduce oil concentration
• Can handles variable inlet oil concentrations during upset
conditions.
• Built-in continuous oil separation & recovery.
• O.5% BSW can be achieved.
• Discharge concentrations not affected by shock loads
of oil at the inlet.
(*) Depends on the water conditions and each sites are different.

Water Characteristics

15 microns
N: 5000, Inlet oil concentration : 1917 ppm

51.7%

2 microns microns
12 microns

Here you see that all oil particles of <15 microns represents 163 ppm (8.5% of 1917 ppm)
which tell you that not only the TORR was able to recover 1754 ppm (all oil particles of 15 to
78 microns size) but it was also able to recover down to <1ppm all oil particles less than 15
microns and as low as 2 microns.
Example
With 2//2of the oil particles that are <12 microns this means that this a very difficult water to
51.7%
treat.

The RPA® Technology

RPA® Filter Media

• Backbone of the TORR™ System

• TORR™ incorporates RPA® that acts
as a self-cleaning filter (no backwash required)
• Allows almost complete recoverability of sorbed oil
(free floating and emulsified oil)
• Can be incinerated safely in-situ, therefore little or no
disposal costs involved
• RPA® is highly economical and environmentally friendly
