INTRODUCTION

• Senegal  vulnerable to a multitude of hazards including floods, drought,


land degradation etc. (Kate, 2018)

• The threat of flooding in Dakar  worsened for various reasons.

• 2005  Senegal has experienced severe flooding. (Cissé & Sèye, 2015)

• Most populous suburb of Dakar  2009 floods  1/3rd affected population


• Disaster Education  reducing vulnerabilities to natural hazards.
