Finding Out About The Triangle

The Uses And Functions of The Triangle

THE STUDENT MUST LEARN TO...

1. How to use a triangle.

2. Know what is the description.
3. Cooperate in the Lesson.
INTRODUCTION

What is a triangle? What is it Description? How about their

function? How do we use them? Now we have to go
through the triangle garden where will we be learning
everything let's go and find out the measuring instrument
Triangle!
LOCKED UP
Oh No! Looks like the garden of arts is locked up! We
can get through in but we have to solve a puzzle! Now,
let's solve it so we can learn more about the Triangle!
DESCRIPTION
 A triangle ruler is an essential tool in geometry, drafting, and technical drawing. It
comprises a triangular-shaped piece typically made of plastic, metal, or wood. Each of its
three edges is straight and precisely measured, with units marked along the edges,
commonly in inches or centimeters. The lengths of these edges can vary, allowing for
versatility in measurement.
 The primary purpose of a triangle ruler is to assist in drawing straight lines and measuring
angles accurately. Its triangular shape ensures stability and precision when aligning it with
the edges of paper or other drawing surfaces. The ruler's edges are useful for drawing
perpendicular lines, as well as for creating parallel lines at various distances apart.
 Additionally, the angles of the triangle ruler itself can be used for measuring and drawing
angles in technical drawings. By aligning one of its edges with an existing line or reference
point, the other edges can be used to accurately mark or draw angles of specific degrees.
 Overall, the triangle ruler is a fundamental tool for anyone involved in drafting,
architecture, engineering, or any field that requires precise measurements and straight lines.
Its simplicity and effectiveness make it a staple in any drafting kit or toolbox.
FUNCTION
The triangle tool, also known as a drafting triangle or a
triangle ruler, is a tool used in drafting and technical
drawing. Its main function is to assist in drawing straight
lines and angles with precision. It is typically made of
transparent plastic or metal and comes in various sizes
and angles, such as 30-60-90 degrees or 45-45-90
degrees. Drafters and engineers use the triangle tool to
create accurate geometric shapes, construct parallel lines,
and measure and transfer angles. It is an essential tool for
anyone involved in technical drawing or design.
USES
 1. Composition-Artists often use triangular compositions to create a sense of stability and
balance. The triangular shape can be formed by arranging elements such as figures, objects,
or lines in a triangular pattern within the frame.
 2. Perspective- Triangles can be used to convey depth and perspective in two-dimensional
artworks. Artists use converging lines to create triangular shapes, leading the viewer's eye
into the distance and creating a sense of space.
 3. Symbolism-Triangles have symbolic significance in many cultures and can represent
concepts such as stability, harmony, and spirituality. Artists may incorporate triangular
shapes into their work to convey these meanings or evoke certain emotions in the viewer.
 4. Geometry- Some artists use geometric shapes, including triangles, as a central theme in
their work. Triangular patterns and motifs can be repeated throughout a piece to create
visual rhythm and unity.
 5. Negative space- Artists often use negative space, the area around and between objects, to
create interesting compositions. Triangular shapes formed by the interaction of positive and
negative space can add depth and complexity to an artwork.
