HAZARD
Hazard is the potential harm that might
exist in the area. On the other hand. Risk is
a combination of potential hazard and the
degree of its effects.

1.DANGER SIGNS
Are posted if there are immediate
hazard existing in the area and are
removed when not existing
already.

2. CAUTIONS SIGN
Are warnings about the possible
hazards brought by unsafe
practices.

Are usually posted to indicate way
to exit specific place incase of
emergency

protect oneself from potential
harm like wearing PPE signage.

Served as a guide for workers in
site they tell specific direction on
where to go.

Are usually found in the road. In
road construction, they usually
warn travelers to take
precautionary measures as they
approach in the area.

warning of an existing hazard such as

A. FACE PROTECTION
Goggles and face protection must be used when at risk
from flying particles, liquid chemicals, acids or caustic
liquids and chemical gases.

B. FOOT PROTECTION
Safety shoes with impact protection are used in work areas
where heavy objects or tools could be accidentally dropped
on the feet.

C. HAND PROTECTION
Gloves are required to protect your hands from cuts,
scrapes, punctures, burns, chemical absorption, and
exhaust temperatures.

D. HEARING PROTECTION
Appropriate earmuffs or ear plugs must be made available
as a last resort if it is not possible to make the workplace
less noisy.

Appropriate respirators must be worn as a last resort if it is
not possible
