CHAPTER 5
SUMMARY OF FINDINGS,
CONCLUSION AND
RECOMMENDATIONS
SUMMARY OF FINDINGS
The challenges encountered by the students in choosing courses perception base in their skills, ability, financial, their decision and

track. Students looking forward to fulfill the job opportunities Students demand courses availability that suits them, the issues and

challenges experienced by the students look for where are the best school. Maybe it’s a school with plenty of internship and graduate

work opportunities in that industry. Or a city that has access to specific resources. The issues and challenges in choosing courses found

that Students who tend to have lower self-esteem would be more likely to categorize as “dependent,” one who looks for help from others

when making decisions. Based on the Study. Out of (158) respondents, most of the students answered “Agree” which signifies that they

are looking for their best courses and in their personality suits in their track.

The researchers administered a survey using the questionnaires they made via google, and validated by their project advisers. These

survey questionnaires were what paved the way through online achieving the results of this study. The researchers went to every

classroom of the grade 12 students of the Linao National High School to conduct their survey with 158 respondents. Each questionnaire

had at least 5 indicators with at least 5 statements each. The four indicators were Level of student’s decision-making and interest, Level

of student’s Peer Influence, Level of student’s Considerations about the Institution, Level of student’s Future Job Opportunities The

respondents only had to rate each statement from 1 to 4. With the use of the T-test and ANOVA method, with 0.05 margin of error.
With the processes used in this research, the following were found in the study:

1. The research had a total of 158 respondents. Among those respondents 98, or 62.0%, of them were Females while 60,

or 38.0%, of them were males.

2. In Level of student’s decision-making and interest, the total mean is 3.20 and had a descriptive equivalent of an agree

in the scale, in Level of student’s Peer Influence, the mean is 3.02 and had a descriptive equivalent of it is in agree

scale, in Level of student’s Considerations about the Institution, the total mean is 3.06 and had a descriptive

equivalent of it is agree, in Level of student’s Future Job Opportunities, the total mean is 3.24 and had a descriptive

equivalent of an agree point.

3. Among all indicators, the fourth indicator, Level of student’s Future Job Opportunities, was able to get the largest

mean score.

4. The profile of the respondents was compared and was then judged that there is no significant relationship between

them.
CONCLUSION
1. The Factors influencing the course preference of grade 12

Students chosen courses in terms of decision-making and interest, student’s Peer Influence, Considerations

about the Institution, Future Job Opportunities and factors that are from their surroundings all play a big

role in the student’s choice for their preferred career course.

2. Among the indicators, the greatest, factor is the Future Job Opportunities of the students. This is then

followed by decision-making and interest. Next is their Considerations about the Institution and then the

influence of their friends.

Finally, it has been concluded that there is no significant relationship between the mean scores of the male
students and female in terms of their choice for a career choice. The researches then conclude that there is no
significant relationship between the choices of career given the following factors: decision-making and interest,
student’s Peer Influence, Considerations about the Institution, Future Job Opportunities
RECOMMENDATIONS

After thorough procedures and analysis of data, the following recommendations

are hereby made to develop and improve the research problem: Before you start

looking at different college courses, it’s important to determine your interests and

goals. Consider your strengths and weaknesses It’s important to consider your

strengths and weaknesses when choosing a college course. A student should

choose a course according to what they really want not because others want it for

them. Deciding for oneself helps the individual to develop and progress in life.

Parents should help their children to decide what good for their child. Choosing

the right College course that will help motivate you for your future career.
