The Bible says that Jesus denied he is
God
Jesus spoke to a m an who had called him ‘good,’ asking him, ‘Why do
you call me g ood? No one is g ood except God alone.’ (Luke 18:19)

And he said to him, ‘Why are you asking me about what is g ood? There
is only One who is good; but if you wish to enter into life, keep the
commandments.’ ( Matthew 19:17

Jesus did not teach people that he was God

If Jesus had been telling people that he was God, he would have
complimented the man. Instead, Jesus rebuked him, denying he
was good, that is, Jesus denied he was God.

‫یسوع نے لوگوں کو یہ نہیں سکھایا کہ وہ خدا ہے۔‬

‫اگر یسوع لوگوں کو بتا رہا ہوتا کہ وہ خدا ہے تو وہ اس شخص کی تعریف کرتا۔ اس کے‬
‫ یعنی یسوع نے انکار کیا کہ وہ‬،‫ انکار کیا کہ وہ اچھا ہے‬،‫ یسوع نے اسے ڈانٹا‬،‫بجائے‬
‫خدا ہے۔‬
The Bible says that God is greater than
Jesus

My Father is greater than I’ (John 14:28)

‘My father is greater than all.’ (John 10:29)

Jesus cannot be God if God is greater than him. The Christian
belief that the Father and son are equal is in direct contrast to
the clear words from Jesus.

. God is All Knowing… but Jesus was
not

When speaking of the Day of Judgment, Jesus clearly gave evidence of a limitation on his knowledge when
he said, “but of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in Heaven, neither the
s o n , b u t t h e F a t h e r.” ( M a r k 1 3 : 3 2 a n d M a t t 2 4 : 3 6 ) B u t G o d k n o w s a l l . H i s k n o w l e d g e i s w i t h o u t a n y
limitations. That Jesus, of his own admission, did not know when the Day of Judgment would be, is clear
proof that Jesus is not all-knowing, and that Jesus is therefore not God.

God is All-Powerful… but Jesus was
not.

While Jesus performed many miracles, he himself admitted that the power he had was not his own, but derived from
G o d . H e s a i d , “ Ve r i l y I s a y u n t o y o u , t h e S o n c a n d o n o t h i n g o f h i m s e l f, b u t w h a t h e s e e t h t h e Fa t h e r d o … ” ( J o h n
5:19) Again he said, “I can of mine own self do nothing: As I hear I judge, and my judgment is just because I seek
n o t m i n e o w n w i l l b u t t h e w i l l o f t h e F a t h e r w h i c h h a s s e n t m e .” ( J o h n 5 : 3 0 ) B u t G o d i s n o t o n l y a l l - p o w e r f u l , H e i s
a l s o t h e s o u r c e o f a l l p o w e r a n d a u t h o r i t y. T h a t J e s u s , o f h i s o w n a d m i s s i o n , c o u l d d o n o t h i n g o n h i s o w n i s c l e a r
proof that Jesus is not all-powerful, and that therefore Jesus is not God.

God does not have a God… but Jesus
did have a God.
God is the ultimate judge and refuge for all, and He does not call upon nor pray to any others. But Jesus
acknowledged that there was one whom he worshipped and to whom he prayed when he said, “I ascend unto my
F a t h e r a n d y o u r F a t h e r, a n d t o m y G o d a n d y o u r G o d .” ( J o h n 2 0 : 1 7 ) H e i s a l s o r e p o r t e d t o h a v e c r i e d o u t w h i l e o n
the cross, “My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?” (Matt 27:46) If Jesus were God, then couldn’ t this be
r e a d “ M y s e l f, m y s e l f, w h y h a s t t h o u f o r s a k e n m e ? ” Wo u l d t h a t n o t b e p u r e n o n s e n s e ? W h e n J e s u s p r a y e d t h e L o r d ’s
p r a y e r ( L u k e 1 1 : 2 - 4 ) w a s h e p r a y i n g t o h i m s e l f ? W h e n i n t h e g a r d e n o f G e t h s e m a n e h e p r a y e d , “ O m y F a t h e r, i f i t
b e p o s s i b l e , l e t t h i s c u p p a s s f r o m m e : N e v e r t h e l e s s , n o t a s I w i l l b u t a s t h o u w i l t .” ( M a t t 2 6 : 3 6 - 3 9 ) W a s J e s u s
praying to himself ? That Jesus, of his own admission, and by his own actions, acknowledged, worshipped and
prayed to another being as God, is clear proof that Jesus himself is not God

According to the Bible, God is invisible to
humans… but Jesus was fl esh and blood.

While thousands saw Jesus and heard his voice, Jesus himself said that this could not be done with God when
h e s a i d , “ N o m a n h a t h s e e n G o d a t a n y t i m e .” ( J o h n 1 : 1 8 ) “ Ye h a v e n e i t h e r h e a r d H i s v o i c e a t a n y t i m e n o r
s e e n H i s s h a p e .” ( J o h n 5 : 3 7 ) H e a l s o s a i d i n J o h n 4 : 2 4 , “ G o d i s a s p i r i t a n d t h e y t h a t w o r s h i p h i m m u s t
w o r s h i p h i m i n s p i r i t a n d i n t r u t h .” T h a t J e s u s w o u l d s a y t h a t n o o n e h a d s e e n o r h e a r d G o d a n t a n y t i m e ,
while his followers both saw and heard him, is clear proof that Jesus was not God.

‫ یہ واضح ثبوت ہے کہ یسوع خدا نہیں‬،‫ جب کہ اس کے پیروکاروں نے اسے دیکھا اور سنا ہے‬،‫ہے‬
‫تھے۔‬
