Personal goal
In order to improve in english i started watching a series in english (marco polo) with my roommate, around 1 episode of 50min every evening
during the meal.
for the rest of the semester I would like to be able to improve my ability to make myself understood, because it is in this area where I am the
worst, whether orally or in writing
I will also try to speak English with my friend Theo who is bilingual.

 Session 1

if I had to choose 3 adjective for my first semester in English, I would have to be useful because I learned things, encouraging because it makes me want to continue
to progress and sociable because you meet new people by talking in class. I did not discover a new journal website etc but it allowed me to use them.
for oral comprehension I try to watch videos, series and films in English. for written comprehension I read scientific or other articles in English using a translator
when I do not understand, for oral and written expression it is with class presentations that I improved slightly.

My main difficulty is to express myself in English orally without a prepared text.

I really like the fact of working and exchanging in a group, but I would have preferred the subjects to be related to our medicine lessons. Or get closer to the
scientific side.
What I need is to practice speaking, for that I will try to speak English from time to time at home.
If I could start my semester again I would try to participate more in group work with my classmates.
I really like group work but for it to be effective you have to be attentive to the work of others, because otherwise you lose focus quickly and then the work is no
longer effective.
my strong points during my oral presentation were on my file, I find it pleasant to look at thanks to the illustrations. and it is easy to find the information.my weak
points were at the oral level. I had trouble understanding the questions asked. then I had trouble saying what I thought because I lack vocabulary.

For the second semester I would like to improve my written and oral expression. I plan to devote 1 hours of personal work in addition to the lessons. Then this
summer i will go to New-York.

I prepare to present a moovie in a 2 minutes speech

and i saw star wars in english to learn vocabulary
like lightsaber.

The article from medical news today that i choose is

about cardiovascular risk because i make my
internship in cardio

Kahoot

I prepare my workshop and we thought about the different subject

that we can do. We find the kahoot that is a good subjet to have an
interractive workshop with a quizz.

I began to write our collaborative writing with lilian and we

find a thematic that interested all of us : the sport and the
danger of this practice.

Zotero

I learned how to make a traditional bibliography

vancouver style and i continue to write the
collaborative writing with Lilian. That is usefull,
since the beginnin I had to make the bibliography
myself and that is very long.

We play with question card with juliette and julie that was interresting to speak in english.
 Session 8
The prof was absent so I decided to read the little prince
by Antoine de saint-Exupéry, because I have an English
version at home, moreover I really like this book. Day
after day, the narrator discovers the story of the Little
Prince. He tells her that he comes from another planet:
"Asteroid B 612", a very small planet barely larger than a
house where he left behind three volcanoes and a rose, a
unique flower of which he is in love. The little prince
confides to the aviator that he is afraid that the sheep he
has drawn for him will harm his rose.he tells the narrator
that he visited several places before arriving on earth, so
every day the aviator learns new things about the little
prince, about his feelings, his fears, his doubts, his
departure, his trip and about his planet. Eight days after
landing in the desert, the time for the separation of the two
friends has come. In order to return to his planet, the little
prince uses the snake which solves all the puzzles. The
little prince returns to his planet, leaving the narrator all
alone. Finally, the aviator managed to repair his plane and
also left the desert, hoping to see the little prince again one
day.

I was absent because I was sick so I

watched gladiator in english.

Workshop

We presented our workshop about the

beatles so we spoke a lot with the class.
Maybe our level in english was not so
good but we tried to do our best.

Oral presentation

I did my oral presentation about the effects

of contact sport for the health. I presented
the immediate effects and the long time
effects of this practice.
