 PROBLEM
From schooling to working, lockdown
measures have shifted many key activities
online. For this reason, it has created a
number of challenges for individuals who
have struggle coping up with their
education, daily lives, business, and works,
especially those with limited or no access to
the Internet and computers. Due to this, the
residents need to go to the other
municipality in order to find a computer
shop and acquire their service. In addition,
parents need an online tutor to help their
children in their education without the risk
of socializing with other people.
SOLUTION
New Norm Tech will serve as an internet
café and tutoring service in the area that
can become an integral part of the
resident’s life in the new normal. The
residents will no longer go to other town
to print and use computers because we
will provide it in a more accessible manner
and low-cost price. New Norm Tech will
solve and answer the hindrances in
submitting documentary requirements,
assignments, paper works, research, and
online class. We are here to build an e-
ready community.
BUSINESS OVERVIEW

Internet café industry is a productive and profitable venture in the Philippines.

The internet cafe has become the go-to place for people who wish to do their surfing
and administrative work without internet interruption.
New Norm Tech will be a service friendly, one-stop, standard, and licensed
internet café and tutoring service that will be fully equipped with the latest technology
in the industry. The business is a startup developed due to the high demand of the
residents for their needs amidst the COVID-19. The business will have six computers and
one printing/scanning machine for the first stage of operation, offering high-speed
internet access and quality equipment. The business will also provide a wide variety of
services with a cozy and chilling environment. It includes browsing, Piso wifi, video calls,
printing, encoding, scanning, and many more. Most of all, it will also offer online tutorial
service to help struggling parents with the school works and lessons of their child, all for
a reasonable and affordable time-based rate.
 The business is for reducing the pressure and ensuring that
students and the residents can stay on track toward reaching their academic
goals and needs as we continue dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic. The
location will be in Harana, Luna, Isabela, and its business structure will be a
partnership. The business is placed strategically on one of the busiest
streets of Luna, and the appropriate demographic compositions of people
who need internet café and tutoring service are present. Only two
competitors exist, one offers surfing and gaming services, and the other
offers the services that a typical internet café gives. Our distinctive
competencies are the vigorous security measure, building design, and
unique additional services that only New Norm Tech offers.
 New Norm Tech intends to serve all the students, parents,
teachers, and workers of the community by providing necessary equipment
in comfortable premises at a convenient location. The owners and staff are
the individuals who understand the challenges in today’s educational
system and are computer literate at the level between the advanced user
and system admin.
New Norm Tech will follow all the health and safety guidelines,
including social distancing. These protocols are under the policy and
guidelines of Inter-Agency Task Force. The stations will be far from each
other to maintain a 2-meter distance between customers and staff. Wearing
a mask, logbook, and checking the temperature is mandatory. In addition,
disinfectants and hand sanitizers are available for Internet Café users. The
business will be open from Monday to Saturday from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm to
follow the curfew protocols.

lack of technological opportunities is badly needed, and there is a small
number of households having personal computers. By analyzing facts that
we have collected, New Norm Tech has identified the best market

target customers, which we are all out to serve is primary the students,
gamers, workers, parents, teachers, and nearby barangay residents. As such,

COMPETITORS
The computer shop business is a highly competitive industry, and one
has to be reliable and meet the objective effectively to stay on top. The
main competitors in the internet cafe segment are Bagnos and Dadut Comp
Shop. These businesses are located in the New Norm Tech location area and
target similar customers. Bagnos offers game and Piso wifi services for
gamers and teenagers. Meanwhile, Dadut computer shop also offers
gaming, printing, laminating, and other services that a computer shop gives.

• For our opening, we will also have an in-store promotion for the first
few months to lure new people in and will offer a discount to people

OPERATION AND DEVELOPMENTAL PLAN

• New Norm Tech will be operating from Monday to Saturday from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm
instead of 24/7 service to follow the safety protocols. Upon opening, customers can
enter the store after writing their name, temperature check, face covered with masks
or shield, and applying alcohol. Customers can ask the front desk officer for queries
and services to acquire so that the staff can charge them on an hourly basis,
depending on the type of service that the business offers. New Norm Tech will also
install CCTV cameras for the safety of the equipment and verifications for unexpected
situations. As we grow and become known in the community, we are planning to offer
instruction in the use of various computer programs or other services. Four staff will
manage the internet café daily alternately, with oversight from the management team.
The business and its staff will have teamwork to focus on giving attention to the
business operation. Daily checking of the conditions of the equipment, stock of bond
papers, and inks are all necessary. Keeping on track about what is happening in our
business is essential to know if we are generating a profit or loss.
