 Introduction
Prime minister Narendra Modi launched the ‘stand up
India scheme on 5 April as part of the government’s
efforts to support entrepreneurship among women and
SC & ST communities.
Digital India is a campaign launched by the government
of India to ensure that government services are made
available to citizens electronically by improved online
infrastructure and by increasing internet connectivity or
by making the country digitally empowered in the field of
technology
Digital India" and "Stand Up India" are both ambitious
initiatives launched by the Government of India aimed at
fostering economic growth, development, and
empowerment across various sectors of society.

technology to improve healthcare
delivery, telemedicine services, health

of individuals from SCs, STs, and women
through skill development programs,
vocational training, and capacity-building

 Bridging the digital divide: The primary objective of
Digital India is to ensure that government services are
made available to citizens electronically by improving
online infrastructure and increasing Internet connectivity,
especially in rural areas, to bridge the digital divide.

Empowerment through technology: Digital India

aims to empower citizens by providing them with
digital access to information, services, and
resources, thus enabling them to participate more
actively in economic, political, and social processes
Promoting entrepreneurship: Stand Up India is
primarily focused on promoting entrepreneurship
among women, Scheduled Castes (SCs), and
Scheduled Tribes (STs) by facilitating bank loans
ranging from ₹10 lakh to ₹1 crore to set up
greenfield enterprises

Financial inclusion: It aims to provide financial

assistance and support to marginalized sections of
society who have traditionally faced difficulties in
accessing credit and capital for starting businesses.

Objective literacy: To ensure that citizens are digitally literate

and can effectively use digital resources and
platforms.
