Currently, the entire cost of the water tank is divided equally among
all residents, regardless of individual usage.

apartment, allowing residents to pay only for the water they consume.
This could be achieved by installing individual water meters in each
flat. This approach offers several benefits:
• Fairness: Residents who use less water would pay less, and those who
use more would pay a proportional amount.
• Conservation: By directly linking cost to usage, residents may be
incentivized to conserve water.
• Transparency: Individual meters would provide residents with a
clearer picture of their water consumption.
Possible Billing Methods:
• Ratcliff Metering: This system uses a single meter for the entire
building and allocates a base charge to all residents, with additional
charges based on individual meter readings in each flat.
• Benefits for the Apartment:
• Reduced overall water consumption can potentially lead to lower
water bills for the complex.
