Preposition

It is derived from a Latin word “preaposition” which means placing before.


It is a word or group of words which is placed before a noun or pronoun to
show its relationship to some other words in a sentence.
 The criminals are at the scene of the crime.
 Our house is in front of Rana University.
 The laptop is in the drawer.
 He is going to talk on behalf of the class.
 I disagree with you.
Examples

 The students were busy with their assignments yesterday.


 They were angry at you this morning.
I was nervous about the interview last week.
 She lied to you last night.
 Asad is sitting between Ahmad and Akram.
 He wants to talk on behalf of the class.

1) Simple Preposition
A preposition which is one word that can be either mono or di

It is a word that is used to show some sudden feelings or emotions.


 Hurrah! I won the match. Ouch! I hurt myself.
Types of Interjection
1. Interjection for Greeting: it is used for the purpose of greeting
towards someone. For instance, Hey, Hi, Hello
2. Interjection for Joy: it shows happiness or pleasure of someone.
For instance, Hurrah , Hurray, Wow, Yippee
3. Interjections for Approval and Praise: it is used for approval
or agreement. For instance, Bravo, Brilliant, Well done

 A conjunction is like a glue. It helps things to stick together.


 Itis derived from a Latin word “Conjunct” which means to
combine.
 A conjunction joins two words, phrases, sentences, and
clauses.
 Ahmad and Ali are best friends.
 Not only the teachers but also the students must attend the
seminar.
