而本課中所要學習的，是將「現在分詞」和「過去分詞」改做為「形容詞」使用，例

如：

1. This is an interesting book.（這是一本有趣的書。）

　　 ── interesting 是「形容」「名詞 」book，是當做「形容詞」使用。

2. He is interested in the book.（他對這本書有興趣。）

　　 ── interested 是「形容」 「人稱代名詞 」he，因為是 he 感到有興趣，故也是
當做「形容詞」使用。

3.The book interests me. （這本書使我感興趣）

這兩種詞，雖然一個是加 ing，而另一個是加 ed 而已，但依經驗顯示，卻是學

生經常弄錯的用法，但我們可以根據以上的說明，得到底下的結論 ，請務必記
好：

▲「現在分詞 」含有主動的含意 。
▲「過去分詞 」含有被動的含意 。

到目前為止，（含本課中所列）所學過的「現在分詞」和「過去分詞」當形容詞
用者有：

現在分詞（ V-ing） 過去分詞（ pp）

boring　令人感到厭煩的；無聊的 bored　感到厭煩的
exciting　令人感到興奮、刺激的 excited　感到興奮、刺激的
interesting　令人感到有趣的；有趣 interested　感到有趣的
的 satisfied　感到滿意的
satisfying　令人滿意的 surprised　感到驚訝的
surprising　令人感到驚訝的 tired　感到疲倦的
tiring　令人感到疲倦的

常見過去分詞與介詞搭配：
人＋ be 動詞／ become ＋過去分詞 +介系詞＋事物
bored with（感厭煩）satisfied with「感滿意」confused at 「感困惑」
tired of /with 「討厭／疲累」excited about 「感興奮」surprised at「感驚訝」
pleased with「感得意」touched with「感動」filled with「充滿」
covered with「覆蓋」crowded with「擠滿」interested in「感興趣」
worried about 「感到憂心」embarrassed at /about「感窘迫」
amazed at「感驚訝」frightened at「感到驚嚇」known to 「為…所知」
impressed by「對…感到印象深刻」

例： This was really an exci tin g game.（這真是一場精彩刺激的比賽。）

I was excited about the game.（我對這場比賽感到興奮刺激。）

John is a boring man.（John 是個令人厭煩的人。）

We're all bored with boring John.（我們都對惹人厭的 John 感到厭煩。）
Boring teachers make bored students.（令人感到厭煩的老師，會產生感到厭煩
的學生。）

必須熟記的片語：底下這些片語最常見的錯誤是用錯了介詞，請特別小
心。

be bored with ...：對‧‧‧感到厭煩

be excited about/by ...：對‧‧‧感到興奮
be interested in ...：對‧‧‧感興趣　（本片語的 interested 常忘記加 ed）
be satisfied with ...：對‧‧‧感到滿意
be surprised at ...：對‧‧‧感到驚訝
be tired of ...：對‧‧‧感到厭倦

介系詞後必加名詞或動名詞喔！

16. The meal was satisfying to us.

　 = We were satified with the meal.（我們對於這一餐很滿意。）

17. The game was exciting to me.

　 = I was excited about/by the game.（我對於那場比賽感到很刺激。）

18. My plan is surprising to John.

　 = John is surprised at my plan.（John 對於我的計畫感到很驚訝。）　

備註： 也可用 that 連接二個子句…

1 Are you satisfied that he is telling the truth? 你能否確信他是在講實話嗎?

2 I am not satisfied that he will do everything. 我不滿意他所做的每件事。

3 I am not interested in your words. 我對你說的話（言詞）沒興趣。

4 I am tired of watching television. 我看電視看得厭倦了。

5 I am surprised (to heard) that he is taking drugs. 聽說他在吸毒,我很吃驚。
