A FEW NOTES FIRST:

Microsoft Publisher is a DESKTOP PUBLISHING program.

This program can make: ____________________________________________________________

_________________________________________________________________
The two ways to create a publication are: (1) _________________ and (2) __________________

The ______________________________ gives you pre-made ____________, which you can

___________________ on your own after the wizard is done. In this mode, you are limited in
your creativity because a wizard does the work for you. It is a good idea to use it if you are
short on time.

The ______________________________ lets you start from ______________. Which means you
alone are the designer. You set up the publication to your liking and you can manipulate any-
thing you want.

Part 1a: We Do (Design Wiz)

The design wizard is found on the LEFT hand side of your
screen. If you don’t see it, click on FORMAT and then
PUBLICATION DESIGNS. Then click on the drop down
menu and click NEW PUBLICATION.

 Click on PUBLICATIONS FOR PRINT.

This is a list of all the TEMPLATE publications on this pro-
gram. If you click on one of them, the wizard will start to
make that design for you.

Choose FLYERS and CLICK on one of your choos-

ing.

What is now in front of you is a TEMPLATE. You

can edit by changing the colors, pictures, or text in any
of the text boxes.
