SHS Playhouse Booster Club Meeting Minutes February 19, 2013

Joe Elliot Call to Order 7:08 pm Meredith Lamberton makes motion to skip reading minutes from previous meeting, Kathy Goss seconds, all are in favor. Shannon - Great fundraising this year so far. The Brat Mat exceeded estimates as well as Break a Leg. $2049 made so far in concessions. The gala has fallen under budget in expenses and asked if anything else needs to be turned in for gala expenses. Mr. Clayton paid the $10,000 playbill invoice from his budget instead of booster funds, since the booster paid for musicians, etc. We are either under budget or on target so far for all expenses. Will report back in April to see how Crazy for You comes out in the budget once the activity account is up to date. Everything looks good and is right on track for a great year. Mr. Clayton UIL is a state mandated one act play 40 minutes long. You cannot go over 40 minutes! The UIL play is Angelina Project. There will be a public performance March 22nd. They will then compete at Ridgepoint High School March 26th. Everything is going well. There is a UIL clinic a week from today to receive their critique. There is one judge for UIL. There are 15 roles in the play and are still deciding on the crew. They are working on graphics for the t-shirts. There will be no yard signs, since there is no public performance. Joe Passed on that Christian is considering a theatre themed trip to London next Spring Break. The students would tour theatres, see shows and museums. He is requesting a couple of parents to spearhead researching the trip. Meredith Lamberton Thanked the Gala chairs Jeanie and Melissa. Melissa and Jeanie Announced over $58,000 made on Gala. They thanked everyone for their help and an email will go out again with open spots to any remaining parties. Everyone pitched in to make a fun, successful event. Joe The big form is out for Midsummer Nights Dream and UIL. Note that there are 2 different deadlines for ads. If your ad is not in by April 5th and camera ready, it will not make the playbill. Allison Order your signs for Midsummer Nights Dream Robin Thanks to all those who volunteered in the box office. The last three shows of Crazy for You sold 600 seats . The box office will open April 17th and is looking for new volunteers to help out.

Amy Would love a volunteer to help track personal ads and artwork for the next playbills. Shannon If your child is in crew, please make sure you remember to pay for the t-shirt. Jenny Black Bucket results tied an all time record. Approximately $11,000 raised: $6,500 for Texas Childrens Pediatric Research and $4,600 for Juvenile Diabetes Research.
