How does you main product work with your auxiliary product?

Main Product The song we chose was Mad World by Gary Jules. This is a song that is quite slow in paced and has quite a gloomy tone. This meant that we didn't want to use too many bright colours as it would not match the tone and when producing the main product we tried to avoid any fast scenes. This was also because our target audience wanted a video that matched the lyrics which gave us another reason to keep a quite slow paced video as it meant that we were more likely to attract our target audience.

Website

When creating our website I wanted to go with the typical conventions the genre and this meant keeping the website quite basic and also not having too many bright colours as our song has quite a slow pace and tone. This meant that I went with a background that although it does have some bright colours and it has quite an unusual background it isn't to bright as to go away from the typical tone of the genre and songs but it isn't a background that is common which is quite usual in this genre. Another, way of keeping the video similar to our website was to keep the website quite basic and simple. The video is not one that calls for too many special effects and this meant that I generally kept the website quite simple.
