Report on Brigada Eskwela 2012

May 21, 2012

Welcome back to school! Its another year of educational journey. As usual before classes start, all public schools in the country encourage the various sectors in the community to participate in the weeklong Brigada Eskwela - the National Schools Maintenance Week. This education initiative calls for community involvement to prepare the schools prior to the opening of classes in June. Babag National High School has been championing the implementation of Brigada for years. Parents and students were encouraged to participate in the activities during the Brigada on their respective schedules from Grade VII to Fourth Year. Among the activities conducted were the following; repainting of walls and ceilings, repairing of broken chairs, checking of electrical wiring, beautifying school surroundings and cleaning of the classrooms. This Brigada Eskwela has been stepped up into a year round activity of maintaining the school facilities. It is a joint effort among parents, teachers, students, and various groups in the community. This initiative aims to make the school a conducive place of learning.
