I hope everybody had a nice weekend. By now, most schools have opened for the first semester. The BCC Wai Kru ceremonies will be held this week and next week. The ceremony is very formal, with candles, incense and beautiful flowers. It is an important traditional part of the Thai education system. Wai means bow in Thai, and it involves bringing your hands together as if to say a prayer. Kru means teacher. Thai culture fosters deep respect for educators. Therefore, the Wai Kru ceremony is a great way to start the academic year. Have a great week! All Teachers: James has completed corrections on roll sheets. James will print out roll sheets for June, but from July on, the rolls sheets will be available for you to print out yourself from the Coursework Server. You will be issued a user name and a password to print them yourself. If you would like to get a list of students for your classes in Excel, please speak with your coordinator. After-school classes will begin on Monday, 3rd June, 2013.
