Project Tasks DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: The SAP Services Center (SSC) Governance Director will develop and maintain the SSC Strategic Information Services Plan, to maximize the application of technology in support of business requirements, and to ensure business and IT strategic alignment. The incumbent will work with other BNSF technology leaders, business process owners and sourcing partners to ensure delivery of broad and complex initiatives. The SSC Governance Director will lead the effort to plan major releases and/or new projects from the aspect of organizational / business requirements / project scope and schedule impact, resource requirements, work-package and deliverable planning. The SAP Services Center (SSC) Governance Director is responsible for defining and maintaining the SSC Governance Framework, to include policies, procedures, quality gates, tools and methodologies. The SSC Governance Framework complies with the SAP Standards for Solution Operations (Run SAP), based on the ITIL support framework, and will be established and enforced in collaboration with BNSF Technology Services. The SSC Governance Director is responsible for the following operational processes:

Change Management: Change Request / Change Control Management. Test / Defect Management Release Management Organizational Change Management Upgrade Change

In addition, the SSC Governance Director is responsible for maintaining and ensuring proper application of tools and methodologies, by all SSC resources in support of all SSC initiatives. The following are the more important tools and methodologies: o SAPs ASAP Implementation Methodology, to support planning and delivery of SAP implementation projects. o Release Schedule, to include: normal changes, emergency changes, projects, and technical changes. Release Schedule will support regular maintenance of patches and support packages for all technical layers, per SSC and TI policy. o PMBOK aligned TI project management standards in support of integration, scope, time, cost (central monitoring of all project timelines and budgets), quality, human resources, communications, procurement, and risk management. o Tools such as Remedy, MKS, SAP Solution Manager, HP Quality Center, ASAP Implementation Roadmaps and any other tools either exclusive to the SAP environment or integrated from the enterprise (but customized for use within the SAP support organization). The SSC Governance Director will provide leadership to a team of 15 to 20 employees / contractors, and is responsible for the professional development of all BNSF Governance Team members. The incumbent is also responsible to work with and mentor team members to build SAP skills, and will establish individual training plans leading to SAP Certification for applicable BNSF resources, as well as the SAP Customer Center of Excellence Certification for the SSC. Requirements QUALIFICATIONS: The successful candidate should have a bachelor's degree. This position requires 10+ years experience in SAP Application solutions integration / implementation. Minimum of 3+ years Program Management - multiple large projects and global deployments; 5+ years Program Management overall (methodologies and tools to include: PMI, Prince2, ASAP, SAP Solution Manager, MS Project, Primavera). Experience working in SAP ECC 6.0 environment with specific functional knowledge across the core functionality of SAP ECC 6.0 Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Human Capital Management and Talent Management. A minimum of four (4) full life-cycles of SAP implementation or significant upgrade preferred. Able to demonstrate knowledge of root cause analysis. Produce clear, concise, accurate written communication, clearly conveying thoughts and ideas to peers, management, and customers; establish and maintain positive work relationships with peers; management, and customers displaying willingness to understand diverse points of view; learn and apply new equipment and tools within an acceptable time frame; and assume ownership of assignments, completing commitments on time. Must have experience leading large and small teams in matrix organizations, demonstrated ability to work across multiple critical paths, develop schedules in a collaborative environment to achieve goals and capabilities to resolve conflict and resolve problems. 3+ years developing and maintaining process and procedural standards as well as efforts around

organizational change management, to include: organizational / team / executive training and OCM methodologies. Preferred certifications include PMP, Prince2 Practitioner, Six Sigma, ITIL and/ or Run SAP, SAP Solution Manager Overview. BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION ELEMENTS: Extensive criminal history review.
