March Birthdays
This week Anytime there is an MCAS or Mock MCAS the kids are able to bring in sugarless gum to chew during the assessment. Curriculum Highlights: Reading: We will continue to work on our Greek Mythology unit, focusing on character traits, comparing and contrasting, and theme. We will also be practicing our MCAS test taking skills. Math: We will be wrapping up our fractions unit with probability. The assessment is scheduled for Monday and Tuesday. Writing: We will be reviewing all genres of writing and techniques to get ready for our long composition. Social Studies: We are working on group presentations for the South Region. We will be teaching the class about a specific topic about the region. Science: The Invention Convention is here!!! Our simple machine unit will be wrapped up and we will be having a presentation on electromagnets by the Discovery Museum to kick off our next unit.
