Poster Analysis and Evaluation-1b then green

Q1)What have I learnt about graphic design and how have my skills and understanding of graphic design improved?
I have learnt in graphic design there is 8 rules e.g. keep it simple, dont put too much text so it doesnt look too overcrowded, use a image that catches peoples eyes, use simple fonts and dont make it look to fancy, have simple background and line everything up.

This is my first version and draft 1- I think that I done quite well considering that it was my first version but I didnt really follow any of the rules, like using the keep calm poster on a poster which you are not allowed and done a bit too much text.

This is my second version/ draft and I dont think I really improved on this poster because I think and when we done gallery feedback everyone said that I shouldnt have as much pictures because it looks to overcrowded, also have less text and everyone said that they liked the background but then I realised I broke one of the rules by writing on a image.

This is my third version/ draft and I think that I really thought about it and

improved my poster because I changed it completely apart from the two pictures but I followed the rules and stuck to them.

This is my last draft/ version I basically done the same as my third poster but I changed the font of the title because we was allowed to break a rule and it think it looks more better. I never knew that there were rules for making posters so I have learnt a lot about graphic design like the all the rules and Mr Lau has taught me a lot as I never knew all most of it.

Q2) Apart from the 8 rules, what else makes a good poster? Never put a poster on a poster Never write on a image If you want, sometimes you can break the rules Dont use really bright that you wouldnt wear Dont underline your title Dont use word art Dont include too much text
