What Were Learning
Reading: We will continue our training for Daily 5. We are
reading and discussing Charlottes Web together. We will
be working on story structure and understanding
beginning, middle, and end.

Writing: We will be working on writing narratives that
include actions, thoughts, and feelings, transition words,
and a closing. We are learning to develop strong
paragraphs.
Language Arts: We will continue learning about adjectives
and begin learning about compound words.

Math: We will begin an addition and subtraction unit. We
will learn how to use our place value understanding to add
tens with tens and ones with ones. Students may write
the numbers in expanded form to help with this concept.

Social Studies: We will complete our unit on Georgia and
begin learning about some of its major rivers.
Health: We will complete a unit on Nutrition.

your child to use in the classroom.
