    October 2014 Lead Lines

    Saturday, October 18 Saturday School (Hours are from 10 am 12 noon.


    Theme: Fall Activities; Scholars must wear their uniform shirt. Absences are only excused
    with notes.)

    Friday, October 24 No School for Scholars
    Friday, October 24 Parent Report Card Conferences; Sign up for
    a conference with your childs teacher this week.

    *Scholastic Book Fair*
    Monday, Oct. 27 Friday, Oct. 31

    Thursday, October 30 Attendance Count Day
    Help Lead Academy receive funding for programs by sending your child to school on time. All
    scholars who are at school will receive a fall school supply and treat!

    Thursday, October 30 Birthday celebrations at 3:45pm

    Thursday, October 30 Fall Festival, 4:30pm 6:30 pm

    Friday, October 31 Career Dress Up Day (Scholars can dress up to
    represent the type of career they want to have when they grow up. Please do not send
    children to school dressed as ghosts, skeletons, princesses, etc. to respect families who do
    not celebrate Halloween and to fit into our career theme.

    Friday, October 31 Half Day (12 noon dismissal)

    Uniforms: Thank you for being patient as our uniform shirts were back ordered.
    They will arrive for sale soon. In the meantime, scholars are permitted to:
    wear long sleeved shirts under their KIPP DC shirt and wear their own
    navy blue sweaters.
