Goals Statement
Vision/Statement of Purpose
While I enjoyed my time as a classroom teacher, I am thrilled to take on a new role in the
field of education. As a technology coach, I believe it is essential to be visible, approachable, and
relevant. I want teachers in my building to understand my role and view me as a resource. I
want to continuously learn new information about educational technology, and I want to share
that information effectively with the teachers in my building. I also want to grow as a
professional by taking on leadership roles and gaining a more thorough understanding of the
educational technology needs within my district.
Goals
1.
By the end of the 2014-2015 school year, I will hold 10-15 Open Tech Labs to teach
Lincoln Middle School staff how to incorporate widely-used technologies into their
classrooms.
2.
By the end of the 2015-2016 school year, I will take on leadership roles in district
technology committees, including the 1:1 Committee and Tech Steering Committee.
3.
4.
Before the 2017-2018 school year, I will research Educational Leadership programs and
enroll to earn my Type 75 in order to be eligible for administrative positions such as a
district Director of Instructional Technology.
