Professor Stansbie,
Our marketing plan for the DSUG Event is creative and will deliver and communicate our
events value to our guests.
Sidewalk Chalk
- Starting the week before our event, Monday, November 10th, we will
write on the Allendale Campus sidewalks with chalk. The
messages will be shot and sweet just telling of our event, including the
date, time,
venue, free-bees, and theme. We are focusing on those in
freshman land and major traffic points throughout campus such as the
routes people take from freshman dorms to the other side of campus. We
will rewrite the messages every other day if necessary.
White boards (All white boards in the Library, Mackinac Hall, Manitou, all
freshman dorms, Lake Buildings)
- Beginning on Monday, November 10th, we will write information about
the DSUG Event in the corner of white boards in classrooms
throughout
the buildings mentioned above. The message will include
the date, time,
venue, free-bees and the theme of our event. We
will encase the
message in a box to keep from being
intertwined with classroom usage. White boards that are in freshman
dorms we will write catchy messages
and small images to entice
our target market into attending our event.
GV TV
- At the start of the month November, Saturday the 1st, we will have the
first TV broadcast of our DSUG Event! We will have a small, yet precise
script for the anchors to read and they will make announcements of our
event every other day, during the time slot between 5:30 and 8:30. These
broadcasts will continue airing up until the night of our event.

 Announcements at Athletic Events

- Beginning at the start of November, Saturday the 1st, at every GV
athletic event that is held in Allendale, there will be an
announcement
made at half time about our event. The message
will be read aloud and
will inform the athletic attendees of our
events date, time, venue, freebees and theme. Such athletic
events include both the Womens Soccer
game November 1st at 2pm,
and the Football game that same night at 7pm. The next game that our
announcement will be given at is the Mens basketball game on Friday,
November 7th at 7pm. That next day,
Volleyball plays at
2pm and Football has a game at 4pm that evening and our event
information will be shared at both of those events as well. Our
final
sporting event to market at will the be Womens Basketball game on
Monday, November 17th at 7pm.
Flyers
- The last week of October, Monday, October 27th, we will begin to put up the
flyers with information about the DSUG event. These flyers will be put on all
freshman dorms and food places such as Kleiner, Fresh and Fuel. However
many flyers we have available left we will put in other high traffic areas such
as Mackinac Hall, Henry hall Kirkoff and more.
- As well as the above mentioned buildings, we will also be posting flyers
above every drinking fountain on the Allendale campus, in every printing
room in the Library.
Social Medias (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Yik-Yak)
- Beginning two weeks prior to our event, Monday, November 10th, our
class well begin its social media craze! The social medias that we would
like to mainly focus on would be Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and YikYak. Prior to the date mentioned just above, our class will be divided into
four groups, starting November 10th, the first group will make a social
media update about our event on Twitter, the second group will do the
same with Instagram, the thirst group will update their Facebook status
referencing our event and the fourth group will do the same with Yik-Yak.
The next time our class will post about our event will be November 12th.
The groups will now rotate and the group one will post on Instagram,
group two on Facebook, group three on Yik-Yak and group four on
Twitter. We will continue this pattern and posting every other day up until
the night of our event on November 18th!
