STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURE

FOR 66/6.6 KV TRANSFORMER

1. Ensure transformer yard is closed and locked.
2. Ensure condition of silica gel is good and ensure
min. oil level in silica gel breather.
3. Ensure emergency stop button is released.
4. Ensure 66 KV, 3 phase supply is available up to 66
KV Incoming panel at Substation.
5. Ensure Control supply (110 V, DC) is available for

For closing Transformer

Switch Board Panel.

6. Ensure power supply (440 V, AC) for On Load Tap
Changer (OLTC) is available and tap position is kept
in middle.
7. Turn the TRIP/CLOSE lever to close position and
ensure availability of secondary voltage (3 phase,
6.6 KV) at 6.6 KV panel.

For tripping Transformer

2. Turn TRIP/CLOSE lever to trip position.

3. In case the Control Supply is not available, open the
Isolator manually.

2. Press the ESD to stop the transformer.
3. Inform the same to the control room immediately.
