(i) Steps & paths Both contacts at Craven College have been discounted for now. Ian
Butterfield, Forest of Bradford is keen to work with us and will get in touch after tree planting
season
(ii) Tree work at the bungalow plot Ann spoke to Ian Horsfall, Bradford Council
Enforcement Officer today. A member of their Trees and Woodlands team visited the site
last month to check that the tree felling work is within the remit of the planning permission
and have written to the plot owner reminding them of the conditions therein.
(iii) Liaison with Village Council - it was agreed that we need to be clearer about deadlines
for contributing updates to the VC newsletter on a regular basis
ACTION: Ann ask Angela Holmes to remind us of remaining dates for 2015
ACTION: Alison write update for the next issue
(iv) Shipley Community Chest funding - our funding bid was partially successful and Alison
handed over 250 awarded for tree felling. The remainder of the bid (for carrying out a
survey to canvas village opinion about how the Dell should be developed in the future) was
rejected, with a suggestion that we apply to the Village Council for this. Ann has written an
exploratory email to this effect to Angela Holmes, Village Clerk and we are awaiting a reply.

We would also like to submit a bid for a further 100 for tree planting
ACTION: Ann chase Angela Holmes & mention bid for
additional 100 re tree planting
(v) Current Financial Situation - Philip had forwarded a financial statement which was as
follows:
Current account funds: 124.03
Petty cash:
20.00
Funding just received:
250.00
Total
394.03
(vi) Action days - During January and February, we have completed:

2 litter picks
bat box clearing and numbering
a Big Garden Bird Watch
dead hedging work (twice)
put 2 bird boxes up
tree thinning work

Further tree work and a litter pick are planned for 28th March (but see below*)
* Keighley Tree Services are coming this week to identify and then quote on tree(s) suitable
for felling/crown lifting. This, together with their ability to complete this work soon i.e. before
the nesting season progresses, may affect our plans for 28th March; involving an additional
day or meaning the tree work have to be postponed until later in the year.
