It is with great pleasure and enthusiasm that I write this letter of recommendation for one of my students, Erika
Garcia. My name is Jeff Lefebvre and I am currently a science teacher at Windsor High School in Windsor, CA.
During my time as an educator, I have had the distinct privilege of working with a diverse group of students,
ranging from At-Risk, to English Language Development, to Honors, to 9 th-12th grade general education. Out of
all of the aforementioned students, I can think of very few for whom I would give as strong of a character
endorsement as I do for Erika. She is multi-faceted, enthusiastic, and self-motivated. She is also a hardworking
student, and a person of diverse interests.
I have had the pleasure of knowing Erika for three years now. She was an outstanding student in my Integrated
Science class, and could always be counted on to actively participate in our discussions. She came to class
everyday with a willingness to work and had a terrific attitude. I was most impressed with Erikas maturity and
ability to interact with others in the classroom. She was a model student and was seen by many as a class leader.
Erika has also been active outside the high school as a volunteer at the Boys and Girls club for many years. She
has also been active in volleyball and has served as team captain.
