To whom it may concern,
It is my pleasure to write a recommendation on the behalf of Olivea Flickinger-Renzi. I had the
privilege of having Olivea as a student in a senior Government class.
Olivea is truly one of a kind. In fact, It would be very difficult to be a part of El Dorado High
School and not know Olivea. She has a big personality that positively impacts everyone she
comes in contact with. Every morning, the campus is fortunate enough to experience Oliveas
encouraging, joyful, and funny persona come through on the loud speaker with the daily
announcements. This uplifting and engaging presence was also very evident in my classroom
from the very first day.
One of the more impressive attributes of Olivea is that she is a positive role model and leader.
This is shown through her composure and maturity. She perpetually keeps things in a positive
perspective during stress, disagreement, or impoliteness. This was shown through our classroom
debates and daily interactions with students. She has a very engaging personality and takes time
to ask questions of others with genuine interest and commonly complimenting and encouraging
others.
In addition, Olivea is outstanding at working in a group setting. I had many observations of
Olivea in a group assignment and she always made the best out of every experience. Olivea
strives to be accepting and supportive of all, which inspires others while at the same time she
provides clear and sophisticated communication when delegating responsibilities. She knows
how to hold her ground and exercise moral integrity while at the same time being fair and
compassionate toward her group members.
Lastly, Olivea is a giving and civically responsible individual. She plays an active and role in her
community. She has volunteered for the Sierra Service constructing homes for the needy, Upper
Room which feeds the hungry, Church Camp every summer, and Interact Club which is an
organization that works with the Rotary club to service the community. Her involvement in the
community is simply and transparently a testament to her character. Olivea is a person who
actively looks to help others either through mentorship or her generosity. Her leadership,
genuine compassion, and service will be sorely missed at El Dorado High School.
