Today we are going to practice how numbers go in order

from 1-100 like we discussed last class! We will be
counting forwards and backwards identifying what
numbers come before or after when they are in order.
Transition: If you can hear me touch your nose!
As I just mentioned, we will be doing an activity that is all
about number order and being able to put those
numbers in order from 1-100.
Set Induction: Raise your hand if you have played a
guessing game before! Someone knows some
information and the other person has to guess?
Well today we are going to be guessing

Learnable Piece: The main focus is for the students to

have a sense of number order.
Presentation of New Material/Directions: Today I will
choose one person to stand at the front of the classroom
and they will be our special number detectives. This
person will have to try to guess the secret number. The
rest of the class is going to know the secret number and
they will give clues to the detective in order to figure out
the secret number.
The first way to give clues is to tell the detective that the
secret number is higher than the one they guessed by
jumping in place, the second way is to tell the detective

that the number is lower by doing squats.

Seconds

The detective will then guess a number between 1-100

and the class will jump to say the number is higher or
squat to say the number is lower.
Transition: Raise your hand super high if your birthday
is in June. That person will be the first detective.
--Safety tips: make sure you have enough room and
dont hit anyone when you jump high and make sure
backpacks arent around so you dont land on them.

Notes:

The student has to close their eyes and turn around

while I show the rest of the students the secret number
Activity: One student will be at the front of the class
(detective) they are in charge of guessing the number.
The rest of the class will give clues whether the number
is higher or lower by squatting or jumping.
Possible Modifications: If the activity goes too fast I
will choose another student and we can play a new
round
Lesson Review: Who can show me how to jump? Who
can show me how to squat? Lets review our number
order, is 44 higher or lower than 32? Is 88 higher or
lower than 90? Great job everyone!!
