Good Things Grow Here

Welcome to the last edition of our newsletter this year.

The staff and I would like to take the opportunity to wish our families a safe, relaxing and happy summer
break. I would also like to thank all the children, staff, governors and members of the PTA for their
continued commitment to ensuring that Mill View continues to be an outstanding school.

Helsby High School and The Kings School, Chester. We wish them all the very best as they continue their
learning journeys.

Olivia Musical
This year our Key Stage 2 children will be performing Olivia at Queens Park
High School. The Chester high school has a wonderful theatre and we are looking
forward to sharing our musical talents with you.
The children will be visiting Queens Park High School on Tuesday 14 July for
rehearsals. We will be travelling to Queens Park High School in the morning and
returning to school at approximately 5pm. All children will need to be collected
from Mill View by an adult. The children will need a packed lunch, drinks (at least
one water bottle) and snacks for the day. These can be brought in a thermos
container, lunch box or plastic bag please label with your childs name. Your
child will not need any book bags or PE bags.
For each performance the children will need to be at Queens Park High School on Wednesday 15 July and
Thursday 16 July at 5.45pm. There are plenty of parking spaces available. However if you require
assistance in transporting your child please let a member of staff know and we can offer assistance. Please
bring your child/ren into the main entrance and sign them in. If you are watching the performance you will
be able to go straight into the theatre. During each performance there will be an interval in which you will
be able to purchase refreshments and also visit an art exhibition. After the performance you can collect
your child/ren from the main entrance.
Annual Reports to Parents
Your childs report will be available via the school website on Monday 13 July 3pm.
To access the report log on and the report can be located in the work section. You

special needs and suggestions as to how we might improve our communication

information booklet is a guide for parents and carers and contains information about
Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, including ways in which we share
information with you.
The booklet can be located on the school website www.millviewschool.co.uk information inclusion. The
fortnightly newsletter also provides regular updates about our provision.
Annual Curriculum Overviews
As your child moves into the next year group take time to look at
the curriculum overview located on the school website

We are looking forward to the new Contexts for Learning in the
