Highlights
Our first full week of school is completed. It was quite busy having to learn all the
school rules and classroom rules. In math we are continuing to work on place value
and our multiplication skills. In social studies we have identified ourselves on the
map and are proving that we know a lot about maps in the process. This week our
story is called Daedalus and Icarus. Well discuss the risks they took during their
adventure. We are beginning our first writing assignment in class and get to
describe our favorite toys, its been great hearing about all the new gadgets that
kids get to play with now. Thank you for getting homework turned in this week, we
will have real, leveled sorts this week with our first spelling test on this Friday.
