To Whom It May Concern: I would like to recommend Yumna Dadabhoy for your consideration for the position of elementary classroom teacher. Yumna is completing her Master of Education and teacher certification at Southern Methodist University. I have been Yumnas SMU student teacher supervisor this semester. Mrs. Dadabhoy has been student teaching in first grade at Haun Elementary in Plano ISD. First grade has been a wonderful placement for her. She has both grown and matured as a teacher. Yumna has this incredible bubbly personality that transfers beautifully into the classroom. Her facial expressions and voice exude positivity. You can see in the childrens behaviors that they adore her and feel so comfortable with her. She has the ability to connect on their level and she builds strong relationships. I have watched Yumna work with a couple of needy students and have seen how she made a positive difference in their self-confidence and achievement. Mrs. Dadabhoys lesson planning and instruction strengthened due to her willingness to work hard! She communicated openly with her cooperating teacher and me. Her goal was always to find a better way to instruct and explain to first graders. To do this she developed more visual tools, worked to create differentiated lessons, and incorporated more step by step explanations. In her journals and other assignments, she commented on what she was learning and how she was growing as a teacher. Yumna always behaved in a respectful and professional manner. She shared ideas and accepted those of others. I see her as someone who will work cooperatively with others. Please give consideration to Mrs. Dadabhoy as you staff your district/campus. Sincerely, Barbara Salamone, retired elementary administrator SMU Adjunct Clinical Supervisor 972-213-5741
