Playdough
Playdough cutters and rollers

Curriculum Content:
Making models out of clay, blocks and other materials.
Building relationships with children and adults.
Beginning
I will introduce materials at small group.
Middle:
Children will explore using playdough to model into models of their liking and talk to
each other about what they are making and exchange colors as well.

Extensions:
Earlier:
Children will mold models out of playdough
Later:
Children will be able to describe to one another as well as teachers the models they are
making.
End
Have children place playdough, cutters and rollers back in containers. Then wash hand
after.
Follow-up Ideas:
1. Ask what else they think we can use to make molds
2. Introduce Paper Mache and building molds with that.
