Parents and caregivers welcomed in school, encouraged to participate, and given information Time: 10 hours Artifact: Checklist and notes Description: In talking with Principal Mr. Engle, it was decided that 8th grade students should have more information regarding high school requirements and college readiness. I met with students and some parents individually to discuss high school courses, organized activities such as clubs, possible career choices and whether college was an appropriate option for that particular student.
Reflection: I spent about 10 hours meeting with students and parents to
discuss high school courses, requirements, college options, clubs, sports and organized activities. I discussed graduation requirements and future career plans with students. All information gathered was compiled and forwarded to the high school so that they could help students be placed appropriately.
