Activity: (MILF 8.1): Create an online newsletter for 8th grade
students and parents regarding a college field trip experience.
Parents and caregivers are welcomed and encouraged to participate
in the college experience.

Artifact: Newsletter created for students and parents
Description: Newsletter created for parents and students. This was for 8th
grade students to go on a college field trip to Shepherd University and visit
to determine if they may like to enroll after high school.

Reflection: I spent 2 hours in a faculty meeting discussing all the possible

colleges to take students to for field trips. I spent another 2 hours creating
the newsletter and 4 hours taking the students on the trip. It was a nice trip
and the enrollment advisors at Shepherd University were extremely
accommodating to the students. There was a planned tour of the campus
and the students received snacks and gifts from the advisors.
