Barangay San Isidro, small village in a part of the
town of Bobon, lies about 200 meters away from the Pacific

composed only of more or less 20 houses most which are
built on the land owners own parcel of land and rice field.
Although farming is the main source of living, some are
engaged in fishing, tuba gathering, etc.
The mayor then was the late Conrado Carpina who
performed little for the progress of the barangay.
In the year 1958, the first school house was built in
the barrio, where the children of Bangag specially the first
grade enrolled. The first school teacher was Miss Cleofe
Montibon, now Mrs Cornillez. In the same year, the barrio
chapel was built.
In 1959, Atty. Pio B. Merida was elected maor of
Bobon. Under his administration, so many chages
happened. This was also the time when the first barrio
election was held. The elected Barrio Teniente was
Victorino Duran. Mrs. Marina Casias followed the
successful administration of Victorino Duran.
Then another set-up of barangay officials were
formed. It was Pedro Alo who became the Barrio Teniente.
The barangay officials at that time servered without any
incentivescoming from the national or provincial
government. This serve voluntarily and whole heartedly.
In the year 1988, Mr. Alfredo Pajares was elected
Barangay Captain. In his progressive administration, the
Barangay Day Care Center was built with Mrs. Natividad
Pajares as a teacher. The concrete stage and gate of school
was likewise built. A barangay hall where the barangay
officials held their monthly or special meetings was also
built while the primary grade school was made a complete
