Day 5 Tasks
Observe more lessons:
Preparedness: How does the teacher make sure the students
are prepared for the day?
- By asking them questions and having a normal conversation before
starting the lesson.

Pace and flow: How does s/he make sure all students are
involved and attentive?
- By giving them activities and tries her best to involve each students, if
she notices a student not working she send him to Ms. Maxenes
classroom.

Transitions: How does s/he get student attention? Keep their


attention and move to the next task?
- By engaging with them and asking everyone to be quiet if they want to
listen to her and move to the next task.

Behavior: How does s/he deal with misbehavior?


She talks to them gently and if a student over misbehaved she would either scold
them or tell them how disappointed and shocked she is by their actions. Then she
would send them to Ms. Maxene classroom for discipline and I personally dont
like Ms. Maxenes treatment with the children.

Encouragement: How does s/he interact with students/as a


group/individually e.g. praise, self-confidence, humor, support.
For example, during Circle-Time center, if Ms. Tammy asked a question and they
all just started shouting the answer she would chose the quite student and say Im
going to choose because she/he is sitting nicely and then they would all learn to
sit quietly and raise their hand if they want to participate in the lesson.
