    DIVISION WISE FUNDING PLAN FOR SPDP

    Background

    There is an allocation for Rs.5 billion for above


    programme in MTDF 2009-10. District wise allocation of this plan
    has also been worked out. About 70% funds provided on Population
    Base and 30% considering backward status of the Districts. Detail
    in this regard is as under:-

    During visit to Bahawalpur Chief Minister has issued 91


    directives. In these directives about 31 directives have financial
    requirements/Schemes. These schemes are to be funded from this
    block too. In this block, Bahawalpur Division has been allocated
    Rs.1518.473 million.

    Up till now we have received schemes against five


    directives i.e. 45, 46 (two schemes), 55 (two schemes) and 79. For
    the schemes against directives 45 i.e. “Funding for Bahawalpur
    Lawyers Colony” an estimate of Rs.96.417 million were received
    through Commissioner Officer but Administrative Approval was not
    received. For remaining three directives position is as under:-

    Financing requirements for the remaining directives


    issued by Chief Minister are still in process. In this regard meeting
    was convened at D.G. Khan on 05.09.2009 and Commissioners
    were requested to prepare and approve the schemes at the
    earliest in consultation with Public Representatives.

    Funding of Schemes

    In these circumstances Chief (Coordination) may be


    requested to release 50% funds against three directives and five
    schemes as per np-23. Balance 50% may be released after
    utilization of the released amount.
