Concert At The Overture Center

On November 16th, the 4th and 5th graders of Glenn Stephens had a
concert at the Overture Center. My dad is in town right now so I asked
him to watch the concert with me. My mom was sick so she couldn’t
come with us. We were there early and we waited until all the
performers are ready. We got a seat at the balcony and it was pretty
high out there but I enjoyed watching the 4th and 5th graders sing.

When the concert began, all lights were turned off except at the
stage light. The students looked kind of nervous but they all looked
great and ready. My favorite song was “Outer Space Blues”. The song
was about the planets. All of the 4th and 5th graders did a fantastic job!

Everyone on the stage was wearing a purple shirt that has a print
that says “Ready Set Read” and it was the first song they sang. There
were some solos and one of them is my friend. She sang pretty well
and did a great job with the rest.

After the concert, at the hallway they set a table that has tattoos,
stickers and flyers. My dad and I got 4 tattoos that had Bucky Badger
on them and 2 UW stickers. Along the way going home, I got hungry
so my dad treated me to McDonald. I got the kids meal, it was good.
When we got home, I checked on my mom how she was doing and
told her about the concert. After that, I went straight to bed…I am
really sleepy!
