    A timer If you are using an oven you want to know that you have
    cooked something correctly so you use a timer

    Time

    A grocery store They use the scale in a grocery store to measure how much
    the mass of the fruit is. Once they have measured they
    know how much the fruit is.

    Mass

    A measuring cup People use measuring cups to cook. You use it to make sure
    you don’t have too much of a liquid.

    Capacity

    A jar is filled with any type of liquid. How much liquid in the
    jar is the volume.

    Volume

    A jar
    A wall
    When I was still in America we would take a pencil and put
    ourselves against the wall and measure how tall we are. So
    in a few years when we did it again we could see the
    difference in our length.
