Equipment: 2 markers (anything can be used as a marker)

Introduction and story


This game will improve your child’s balance.
Story - Your mum wants to have a beautiful garden, so you decide to surprise her by planting lots of
pretty flowers and trees. Be sure to plant them in lots of different places so your whole garden will be
really colourful to make your mum really happy.

Instructions
Step 1: Set up markers 15 metres apart.

Step 2: Your child stands at the first marker and then skips, walks or runs to the second marker.

Step 3: At the second marker, your child leans forward, balancing on his/her right leg while lifting his/her
left leg to touch the ground in front. Repeat 5 times.

Step 4: Skip, walk or run back to the starting marker.

Step 5: Replicate the leaning action at the starting marker, but balancing on their left leg instead.

Step 6: Do 10 repeats of steps 2-5.
