    Micanopy Area Cooperative School

    We had a great first week in school. This week we worked on learning shapes and colors. We are also working on learning to recognize our written names. We are also learning the VPK rules.

    Extended day hours 11:30am 2:15pm Please see Pam in the office for more info.

    Skills we are learning.

    VPK Hours
    8:00am -11:00am

    Things to Remember

    Counting numbers 1-20 Shapes-circle,


    square, rectangle, triangle, hexagon

    Lunch 11:00am-11:30am
    Children not staying for extended may only stay for lunch if purchasing a school lunch. If your child gets to school prior to 8:00am he/she will need to go to morning school right next door with Mrs. Saucier. Breakfast is served from 7:15-7:45. Morning school opens at 7:15.

    PLEASE DO NOT ALLOW YOUR CHILD TO BRING TOYS IN FROM HOME.

    Please have your child wear his/her manatee shirt every Friday.
    We are collecting box tops, coke reward tops, Campbells soup labels and Sunny D labels.

    Recognizing our written names.

    Anyone interested in being room mom, dad or grandparent please let me know as soon as possible.

    Please sign and return any papers in your childs folder ASAP. Thanks
