1.4 External Check


Confirm the following items in advance.

The hardware installation check is complete. The T2000 is ready. The T2000-local craft terminal (T2000-LCT) is ready in the laptop. All equipment on each NE has active and standby power supplies. Check whether alarms need to be output. The interface impedance (75 ohms or 120 ohms) of the DDF on each NE is the same as that of tributary boards and tributary interface boards. Clock protection is provided. The setting of the clock board is correct. To achieve clock protection switching, it is required to provide synchronisation

state message bit (SSMB) in the 2 Mbit/s clock signal and the location of that message.

1.5 Requirements for Commissioning Engineers


Before using this manual, commissioning engineers should have received training on optical equipment commissioning and be skillful at using various test tools. The requirements are as follows. Be familiar with the fundamentals of SDH, PDH, Ethernet, and ATM. Be familiar with the equipment. Be skillful at using the T2000 for service configuration. Be skillful at using the LCT for service configuration. Be skillful at using test tools (for SDH, PDH, Ethernet, and ATM).
